The Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce and the Steamship Authority are seeking volunteers to conduct customer surveys on board the SSA ferries on the Vineyard-Woods Hole route from July 1 through August 23. The goal is to gain customer feedback and market research.

All volunteers will receive complimentary ferry passes at the end of the survey, and their name will be entered into a grand prize giveaway sponsored by the chamber.

Eva Arrives

Jackie and Bill Giordano of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a daughter, Eva Antoinette Giordano, on April 4 at the Martha’s Vineyard Community Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce at birth. Eva also is welcomed by big brother Ryan and big sister Elena.

Abigail Arrives

Moira and William Clark of West Tisbury announce the birth of a daughter, Abigail Elizabeth Clark, on June 10 at the Martha’s Vineyard Community Hospital. She weighed 9 pounds, 12 ounces at birth. Abigail also is welcomed by big sister Emily and big brother Reed.

Patricia N. Nanon

A celebration of the life of Patricia N. Nanon, Vineyard resident and founder of The Yard, who died Feb. 29, will be held Saturday, June 28, at 4 p.m. at The Yard, Middle Road, Chilmark. Those who plan to attend are asked to call 508-645-9662.

Trap Championship

On April 27, Bob De Lisle of Edgartown picked up his second club trap championship since 2005 at the Martha’s Vineyard Rod and Club. Participants took aim at two rounds of 25 targets. Tim O’Bryan of Edgartown placed second.

Hello, Rose

Sarah and Phillip Levesque of Edgartown announce the birth of a daughter, Rose Ellana Levesque, on June 10 at the Martha’s Vineyard Community Hospital. Rose weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces at birth.
