The Better Business Bureau of Eastern Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont recently accredited DP Canha Appliance and Repair of Vineyard Haven. Domingo Canha has operated the business for more than 35 years.

Army National Guard Pvt. Tony R. Cortez has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
Private Cortez is the son of Lisa Tilton of Oak Bluffs, He is a 2006 graduate of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.
Vineyard Horse Council
Announces Summer Shows
The Martha’s Vineyard Horse Council has announced its summer schedule of hunter and dressage shows on the grounds of the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society.
The shows will begin about 8 a.m.
Scheduled shows include July 6 and August 3 for dressage; July 20 and August 10 for hunter; Sept. 14 for the Fall Pace Ride from Misty Meadow; and Sept. 27 for the Fall Fuzzy.
Hello, Milo
Karolina Sullivan and Michael Sullivan of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a son, Milo Alexander Sullivan, on June 25 at the Martha’s Vineyard Community Hospital. Milo weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce at birth.
Dean’s List
Katherine Campbell of Vineyard Haven was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2008 semester at Emmanuel College in Boston.
Announcing Maeve
Caitlin Cook and Calder Martin of Chilmark would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Maeve Youngblood McKoin Cook-Martin, on June 17 at the Martha’s Vineyard Community Hospital. Maeve weighed 9 pounds, 10.8 ounces at birth.
