Amanda Kate Shallcross and Daniel Arnold Zane were married on Saturday, August 21 at the Aquinnah Lighthouse. The wedding reception was held at the Beach Plum Inn in Menemsha.
Patricia Barrett, rector of the St. Barnabus Episcopal Church in Falmouth, and a college friend of the mother of the bride, officiated.

Hebrew Center Raffle
The Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center’s religious school is having a raffle, with three winning packages, each valued at more than $3,000 — an Up-Island Getaway/Adventure, a Travel/Sports package, and a Literary Soiree package.
Children at the Hebrew Center are selling tickets for $25 each, or you may purchase tickets by calling the office at 508-693-0745. The drawing will take place on the first night of Hanukkah.
Community Suppers
Edgartown community suppers begin on Monday, Oct. 25 and run through March 28. Dinners start at 5 p.m. and are held in the Baylies Room at the Old Whaling Church on Main street in Edgartown.

Demos-Wikstrom Vows
Carey Demos and Matthew Wikstrom were married at Huntington Beach on Oct. 2, 2010.
The couple resides in Los Angeles where the bridegroom is a vice president at Wasserman Media Group and the bride is a financial advisor at UBS.
The bride’s parents are George and Mary Demos of Newport Beach. The bridegroom’s parents are Margaret Warnke of Tisbury and Francis Wikstrom of Salt Lake City.
Nancy Ellen Dince and Denis Howard Street were married on August 21 at the Vanderhoop Homestead in Aquinnah.
The location of the wedding has special significance for the couple; the first picture that Mrs. Street ever saw of her now husband was a photograph of him standing in front of the Gay Head Lighthouse. Less than a year later Mr. Street proposed in that very spot.
