Welcome, Malia

Erin and Mark Goldberg of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a daughter, Malia Grace Goldberg, born on Nov. 27, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Malia weighed seven pounds, nine ounces at birth. She is welcomed home by her big sisters, Carly and Audrey.

Merit Scholar

Elin R. Nelson, a senior at Falmouth Academy, has been recognized by the 2009 National Merit Scholarship program after scoring high on the qualifying test. Elin was named a commended student. She is the daughter of Jeffrey Nelson and Dawne Charters-Nelson of Vineyard Haven.

Andrew Arrives

Announcing the birth of Andrew Christopher Stanton on Sept. 22, 2008. Andrew weighed 10 pounds, 5 ounces at birth. The proud parents are Timothy E. Stanton and Laurie Ann Stanton of Cohasset and Edgartown. Andrew was welcomed home by his brother and sister, twins Riley Owen and Grace Elizabeth, and sister Hadley Bliss and favorite dog, Lola!

Habitat Annual Meeting

Habitat for Humanity of Martha’s Vineyard will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the Vineyard Housing Office, 346 State Road in Vineyard Haven. The meeting is open to the public.

Francis-Henry

Wendy Francis and Donald Ward of Edgartown announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Francis to David Henry of Clearwater Beach, Fla. David is the son of Maureen Henry of Brick Township, N.J., and Michael Henry of Clearwater Beach, Fla. An October 2009 wedding is planned.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Connors, of Woburn and Centerville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Eileen Elizabeth Connors, to Robert Daniel Moriarty. The future bridegroom is the son of the Hon. and Mrs. Cornelius J. Moriarty of South Hadley and Edgartown.
