Garden Club Meets
The Martha’s Vineyard Garden Club will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. at the Old Mill in West Tisbury. Sue Silva will present the program: The Techniques of Fabulous Flower Arrangements. Plant Sale
On Saturday, Sept. 12, the Polly Hill Arboretum in West Tisbury holds a plant sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Staff have chosen plants noted for ornamental qualities and adaptability to Island conditions, including natives, ornamental trees, shrubs, and fall-blooming perennials. Call 508-693-9426.
Nelson — Parker
Jon and Teresa Nelson of Austin, Tex., formerly of West Tisbury, announce the wedding of their daughter Patricia Marie Nelson of Spartanburg, S.C., to Jonathan Patrick Parker of Oak Bluffs. Jonathan is the son of Patrick and Cathy Parker of Oak Bluffs. The wedding took place on June 28 in Oak Bluffs.
Amy Mildred Royle Jacob and Walter Adams Looney 3rd were married August 1 at the home of the bridegroom’s parents in New York.
Mr. Looney is the son of Walter and Diane Looney of Edgartown and Manhattan.
London-Thompson–Mast
Mark London and Linda Thompson of Chilmark announce the marriage of their daughter Natasha London-Thompson to Rick Mast on August 1 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Rick is a chocolate maker who co-owns Mast Brothers Chocolate, and Natasha is an educator. Rick is the son of Caroline Mast of Iowa City, Iowa. Rick and Natasha make their home in Brooklyn.
Erika Field and Gary Ellis Hall were married on June 19 in the library of the Winnetu Oceanside Resort at Katama in Edgartown. The ceremony was performed by Osamu Matsutani, a family friend and father of the maid of honor, from Anchorage, Ala.
The bride is the daughter of Glen and Elizabeth Field of North Dighton and Oak Bluffs. The bridegroom is the son of Ronald and Julia Hall of Black River, N.Y. He is the grandson of Rosemarie Cross of Felts Mills, N.Y.
