Madison Ibsen and Thomas Christopher, of Oak Bluffs, announce the birth of a daughter, Meadow Kay Christopher, born on July 27.

Birth announcements

Stacy and Julian Wise of Chilmark announce the birth of their daughter Genevieve Dorothy Marie Wise on January 27, 2011 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Genevieve weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces. She joins her brother, Henry, and sisters, Ruby and Nina.

Please Adopt Us

Once again we seem to have an abundance of black cats at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard — perhaps it has something to do with the cold weather. We have two beautiful black female cats named Hope and Aggie; they are sisters and we would love to see them go to the same home. They will be spayed soon and then will be ready for adoption. Two new, sweet, gray and white calico cats joined us this week and as soon as they are vet checked and receive their shots they will be available for adoption. One needs to be spayed.

Hello, Gloriannie

Martha Carolina Espinoza and Adarlécio Do Amaral of Edgartown announce the birth of a daughter, Gloriannie C. Amaral-Espinoza, born on Feb. 2, 2011, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Goriannie weighed 6 pounds, 10.4 ounces at birth.

Hello Harper

Niki Deharo and Andrew Kelly of Edgartown announce the birth of a daughter, Harper Mary-Catherine Kelly, born on Feb. 8, 2011, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Harper weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces at birth.

Alexander Arrives

Nicole Leavitt and Donals Ethier of Vineyard Haven announce the birth of a son, Alexander Robert Ethier, born on Feb. 4, 2011, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Alexander weighed 8 pounds, 1.4 ounces at birth. He joins sisters Arienna and Aliyah.

Lora Marden to Marry

Lora Marden and Todd Richardson of Quincy are pleased to announce their engagement.

Miss Marden, the daughter of Willard Marden 3rd of Oak Bluffs and Beth Marden of Bridgewater, and granddaughter of Beverly DeSorcy of Edgartown and Willard Marden Jr. of Falmouth, is a 2003 graduate of the University of Rochester. Mr. Richardson, a 2002 graduate of Stonehill College, is the son of Patricia Richardson of Taunton. The couple are both employed by Genzyme in Cambridge.

A May 2011 wedding is planned.
