Our featured animal this week is Missy, a one-year-old spayed purebred pit bull who is very obedient and knows all her commands. She loves children and adults and gets along well with other animals. She is a beautiful red-brown and white and really needs to be seen to be appreciated.

Hello, Jasper
Alexandra London-Thompson and Peter Stray of Chilmark announce the birth of a son, Jasper Christophe Stray-London, born on July 8, 2011, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Jasper weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces at birth.
Merrill Arrives
Jamie and Merrill Langley of Edgartown announce the birth of a son, Merrill Keenan Langley, born on July 5, 2011, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Merrill weighed 10 pounds, 3 ounces at birth.
Devin Colter
Devin Colter, son of Richard Colter and Deborah Colter of Edgartown, received a degree in communications from Ithaca College in May.
Cape Cod Scholarships
Several students from Martha’s Vineyard were awarded scholarships by the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation at a ceremony on Wednesday, May 26, in the Tilden Arts Center Auditorium.
Rebecca Tremblay received the Weezie Foundation Scholarship presented by the Weezie Foundation.
Paula Corts received the Thomas H. and Barbara Lee Endowed Scholarship presented by Thomas and Barbara Lee.
