Summertime Bounty

I'm a big fan of bad weather. Monday morning's unexpected rain gave me a much-deserved day off.

 

 

 
I’m a hopeless watcher of news. The catastrophic flooding after Hurricane Helene has received my undivided attention.

Last week’s rain and wind wreaked havoc on the gardens. What was particularly sad was the destruction of the sunflowers in the boat in front of the old sober house in Oak Bluffs.

We have had a series of "it's great to be alive" days. The almost fall weather has lifted everyone's spirits.

There are few changes I love more than the switch from summer to fall. I know the calendar still has us in summer, but the weather is simply delightful.

I must say Monday’s sudden rain/hailstorm was a weather adventure I do not care to experience again. State Road at Four Corners was a fast-running river.
