Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School students continue to perform well on the SATs, posting scores higher than state and national averages in all three subsets of the test this year.
At the first meeting of the year, the high school committee voted to have the high school manage all school buses, talked about new requirements for background checks, and welcomed new principal Gilbert Traverso.

The head of a vocational school in Springfield has been hired as the new principal for the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. Gilbert Traverso was chosen for his leadership and people skills, superintendent James H. Weiss said.
