The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School has been recognized as a model school for efforts to create respect and understanding among students.
As part of new security measures, visitors to Martha's Vineyard Regional High School are now asked to present identification which is scanned into a computer, and to wear a name tag with their picture printed on it when walking the halls.
The regional high school library is on track to move into the 21st century after the high school committee approved $18,500 for a new library design plan during their meeting Monday evening, the first step towards overhauling the library.

Regional honors for the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards were announced this week, with Vineyard students picking up awards in everything from painting to short fiction. A total of 18 regional high school students were recognized for their work, as were five students from the public charter school.
