Postseason play begins this week with three Vineyard high school teams earning spots in the state tournament.
Three track athletes also will participate in the all-state meet this weekend.
The boys’ tennis team has earned a number two seed in the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association south section division three tournament. The team has a bye in the first round and will begin play in the quarterfinals, hosting the winner of the Bishop Connolly/Seekonk match at home on Monday. Play begins at 3 p.m.
The Martha’s Vineyard Whole Health Alliance board of directors invites Island holistic practitioners and those interested in what they do to a potluck get-together on Wednesday, May 29, at 6 p.m. at the Island cohousing community room on Rock Pond Road in West Tisbury. If you plan to attend, bring a dish to share.

Sailors for the Sea, an ocean conservation nonprofit focused on the sailing and boating community, announced that Sail Martha’s Vineyard and Tisbury Waterways have taken the Clean Regattas Pledge for gold level Clean Regattas certification of the 2013 Vineyard Cup. Clean Regattas certification provides independent, third-party verification that a yacht club, sailing program, or regatta is environmentally responsible and is protecting and restoring the waters.
