The Edgartown Dairy Queen is in new hands, with longtime owners Antone (Tony) and Erika Bettencourt selling the Upper Main street business to the Celeste family.

In addition to the new art barn and pottery studio, a small chapel will soon make its way to the Featherstone Campus.

Thanks in part to an anonymous donation of $2.89 million, Featherstone has completed a new barn and pottery studio, greatly expanding facilities for the art center’s wide range of classes and events.

The Martha’s Vineyard girls tennis team cruised to its third straight Division 3 state championship Wednesday, defeating Monument Mountain 5-0.

The defending state champions beat Lynnfield 5-0 in the semifinals Monday. The girls play Monument Mountain Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

On Saturday Islanders gathered at the Agricultural Hall for the West Tisbury town picnic to commemorate the town’s 125th anniversary.
