The controversial improvement project for Squibnocket beach is the talk of the town and comes to a vote Monday night in the Chilmark Community Center. Moderator Everett Poole said he will give a free rein to debate.
Incumbent selectman and board chairman Beverly Wright will be challenged for her seat by Julianne Vanderhoop. A candidates forum is scheduled for May 7 at 7 p.m., sponsored by the Martha’s Vineyard League of Women Voters. The annual town election is May 15.
