Keith Moreis of Oak Bluffs was out walking on Long Point Beach on a bitter cold December afternoon when he found a small bottle in a clump of seaweed. The bottle had been released in the fall of 1959 from the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey Ship Hydrographer.
The red planet Mars is only a few weeks away from opposition and its brightness can not be missed.
Louis S. Larsen’s hands were big. His grip on the affairs of the waterfront was firm and friendly. To shake his hand was to feel affirmation, fellowship and a bit of the strength of one who was always a Menemsha fisherman.
