When the new season of Hell’s Kitchen: Battle Of The States premieres next week, a Vineyard chef will be among the competitors looking to make his mark.

A total of 166 voters approved all four articles on the warrant in just under half an hour, the most pressing one dealing with logistical fund transfers to pay various town personnel.  

Oak Bluffs is considering changes to the town’s bylaws that could limit rental mopeds to only one rider.

Lieut. Matthew Gebo sent the select board a demand letter earlier this month, claiming he was retaliated against for his union activities and was overlooked for the chief job because he wouldn’t accept a quid pro quo agreement. 

Former Massachusetts secretary of state and longtime seasonal Island visitor Michael Connolly will screen his new feature film, Unfinished Business, at Edgartown Cinemas on Tuesday, Sept. 16. at 7 p.m.

The four-day festival runs from Thursday, Sept. 18 to Sunday, Sept. 21 at various venues around the Island.
