Ben Robinson and Bernadette Budinger-Cormie won the two contested Tisbury seats, while longtime members Doug Sederholm and Linda Sibley fended off a challenge for their West Tisbury seats.

The nation voted to return Donald Trump to the White House while Vineyard voters overwhelmingly backed Vice President Kamala Harris.

Polls open at 7 a.m. in all six towns and close at 8 p.m. Aside from picking who will spend the next four years at the White House, Islanders will also weigh in on a series of ballot questions, a state senate seat, and a contested race for nine seats on the Martha’s Vineyard Commission. 

A Dukes County Grand Jury indicted Michael Rossetti, Stephen Luce and Nicholas Lopenzo on Oct. 30. The following day, the jury agreed to move forward with charges against Rosalynn Kent. 

The M/V Barnstable, a former oil vessel that has been converted into a freight ferry, left the shipyard in Alabama Thursday for what is expected to be an eight-day voyage to the boat line’s maintenance facility in Fairhaven.
