Memory Screenings

Memory screenings will be offered on Friday, June 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Edgartown Council on Aging at 10 Daggett street in Edgartown. There is no charge.

These free screenings entail a brief cognitive test for people who do not have a prior diagnosis of dementia. The goal is to identify people with potential problems who may need more extensive evaluation.

Tisbury becomes Dublin on Wednesday night as Arts and Society — which organizes what is apparently the oldest continuous celebration of Bloomsday on the planet — presents its 32nd annual Bloomsday Celebration of Music and Drama based on the texts of James Joyce.

The program is on June 16, at 8 p.m. at Katharine Cornell Theatre in Vineyard Haven. All tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door.

First Aid Class

The American Red Cross will hold an Adult CPR/AED and Infant and Child CPR/AED class on June 12, at the YMCA on Martha’s Vineyard at 57 Pequot avenue in Oaks Bluffs. The instruction on adult CPR/AED is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and costs $50. The class continues with instruction on infant and child CPR portion until 3:30 p.m. at a cost of $60. Ghosts and Gossip

Ghosts, Gossip and Downright Scandal Walking Tours, a light-hearted look at Edgartown’s history, are offered on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. through Labor Day. Meet at the Memorial Wharf on Dock street.
