I write on Tuesday evening for the Wednesday morning pick-up. I hope the weather forecasters are right that we are due for a cold front. We are so hot and miserable and by me I’m including my poor garden.
It seems on Monday that we had a mini reprieve from the humidity. It was still quite warm but bearable for outdoor work. I’ll never figure out how folks can jog at noon with no hat on the hot bike paths.
I could never live in Florida or Arizona. I prefer cold weather any day. A person can always put on an extra layer of clothing or toss another log in the fire.
I love cloudy and cool days for working in the garden. The weather at the beginning of the week made me completely happy.
What I planned for my opening paragraph — the lovely foggy morning on Tuesday — was derailed by my return trip from Aquinnah that afternoon.
It’s been a particularly windy spring. I’m not a fan. I can take the cold rains and/or snow. I do not like hot and humid, but I can tolerate it.
