Mr. and Mrs. Mark S. Plante of West Tisbury announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Plante, to Brandon LeBlanc, son of Mr. and Mrs. Armond LeBlanc of Nantucket. A 2009 summer wedding is planned.
Adam Arrives
Sarah Rubick and Jody Mendez of West Tisbury announce the birth of a son, Adam Joseph Mendez, born on Sept. 27 at the Martha’s Vineyard Community Hospital. Adam weighed 9 pounds, 8 ounces at birth.
Imagine you have 12 juice-size cups in front of you. Carefully construct a six-cup pyramid in the middle and two three-cup stacks either side. Then, working from right to left, demolish these structures finishing with three perfect cup stacks, and punch the clock.

New Hampshire advertising agency executive David Flood has produced a documentary on Vineyard life and the Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby.
The hour-long color film, Feeding the Water, will premiere today at 7 p.m. on MVTV and will run on the station through the remainder of the derby. Mr. Flood filmed for five weeks during the 2006 derby.
