Commentary
This week will be my last as president of Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and Windemere Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Each weekday morning a fleet of volunteers heads out from the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, their cars filled with packaged meals headed for households across the Island.
there was / snow yesterday / an explosion of icing / sugar piled on birds’ beaks / and heads and tails / that sprayed off puffs / in waves and whirligigs.
‘Twas Christmas Eve and Santa Claus / Was readying to fly / From out of his North Pole lodging / With his reindeer in the sky.
On Sunday morning, hours before the first night of Hanukkah, I wrote to my congregation with feelings of shock and grief.
