Almost sounds treasonous now
but I wonder if we can make
common goodness attractive again
like it was often back in the day

I never thought this idea would eventually turn into a major event that would attract thousands of off-Island chili tasters and hundreds of chili cooks.
Each time I pull out of the driveway on my bike or in my car,
I get to choose: the inland way or the water way?
On election night, I refused to read the news or look at my phone. I put everything on Do Not Disturb and went to sleep.
