Dean’s List

Megan Moynihan, a freshman at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, has made the Dean’s List for the first two trimesters. She is a 2009 graduate of Greater Lawrence Technical School. Her parents, John and Debbie Moynihan of Andover, and her grandparents, Martin and Gloria Mard of East Chop, are very proud of her.

Nine students from Martha’s Vineyard were named to the Headmaster’s List at Falmouth Academy for the second trimester of the 2009-2010 academic year. These students earned at least three As and had no grade lower than a B-minus:

Twelfth grade: Clea Baumhofer, of Vineyard Haven; Lily Cronig, of West Tisbury; and Lagan Trieschmann, of Vineyard Haven.

Eleventh grade: Emelia Armstead, of Edgartown.

Eighth grade: Julia Guérin, of Edgartown; Nathaniel Horwitz, of Vineyard Haven; and Jacqueline Menton, of Vineyard Haven.

Kaya Arrives

Tnisha Chandler and Charles Rutkowski of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a daughter, Kaya Marie Rutkowski, born on May 4, 2010, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Kaya weighed 6 pounds, 15.8 ounces at birth.

Welcome Jose

Kamilla Santana and Tiago Mendes of Edgartown announce the birth of a son, Jose Neto Mendes, on April 7 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Jose weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces at birth and joins his big brother,Thiago Fillio Mendes.

Olivia Arrives

Kate and Benjamin McCormick of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a daughter, Olivia Marie McCormick, on April 18 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Olivia weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces at birth; she joins her sister Hannah Lee.
