Marney and Richard Toole of Oak Bluffs are delighted to announce the engagement of their son Taylor Toole to Jennifer Hirsch, daughter of Molly Paul of Concord and Kevan Hirsch of Ambler, Pa. Jen, a graduate of Harvard University, is an account manager at SHIFT Communications, a public relations agency in Boston. Taylor, a graduate of Emerson College, is a video producer for Boston University. A May 2014 wedding is planned.
Allyson Metell and Chad Metell of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a son, Cole Sawyer Metell, born on August 16 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Cole weighed 6 pounds at birth. He joins brother Maximus and sisters Annabelle and Mackenna at home.
Lindsay Hovanesian and Trevor Harlow were married on June 8, 2013 at the Whaling Church and the Dr. Daniel Fisher House in Edgartown.
Aimee and Paul Cotton along with big sisters Grace and Caroline of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a son, Samuel James Cotton, born on August 9, 2013 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Samuel weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces at birth.
Melissa Schellhammer and Beau Begin of Edgartown announce the birth of a daughter, Juniper Kai Begin, born on August 9, 2013 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Juniper weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces at birth.
Carole Lee Sylva and Matthew Flanders are happy to announce their engagement. Carole Lee is the daughter of Roger and Gloria Sylva of West Tisbury. Matthew is the son of Brian and Noreen Flanders of Vineyard Haven. An Island wedding is being planned for the fall of 2014.
