Gabrielle Oboler was named to the dean’s list at Syracuse University for the spring 2013 semester. Gabrielle is majoring in art history, with a minor in English and textual studies. She is the daughter of Stephanie and Ron Oboler of Montreal, Canada, and Chilmark.
Megan and John Paul Vasconcelos of Edgartown announce the birth of a daughter, Azarah Grace Vasconcelos, born on Sept. 6 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Azarah weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces at birth.
Michelle Aiolff and Marcos Aiolff of Edgartown announce the birth of a son, Matheus Barbosa Aiolff, born on Sept. 3 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Matheus weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces at birth. Matheus joins big sister, Emilly.
Jamie Vanderhoop and Durwood Vanderhoop of Aquinnah announce the birth of a son, Kuhpay Hayes Spears Vanderhoop, born on Sept. 3 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Kuhpay weighed 8 pounds, 2.4 ounces at birth.
Miss Kelly Leah MacDougal and Mr. Steven Blackwell Jones were united in marriage on Saturday, April 6, at Christ Church Cathedral in Houston, Tex. The double ring ceremony was co-officiated by the Rev. Luchy Littlejohn and the Rev. Glenice Robinson-Como. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a seated dinner and dance at The Woodlands Resort. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Woodlands TPC Country Club.
Lucinda Morgan Bailey and James Anthony Salmoiraghi were married on July 14, 2012, at the Federated Church in Edgartown. The bride is the daughter of Mary Bryant Bailey of Oak Bluffs and William Howard Bailey of Edgartown and the granddaughter of the late Jean Morgan Bryant of Edgartown and Nelson S. Bryant of West Tisbury.
