Andy Rice has shorn the sheep of Allen Farm, in addition to almost every other Island flock, for 30 years. This year, however, the tradition has been passed on to Aaron Loux.

The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School class of 2019 will be remembered as a class that chose to go their own way, to embrace their individualism, their voices and their convictions.

On a trail that cut through the heart of the Vineyard, 120 hikers and six dogs set out Saturday for the 26th annual cross-Island hike. The event is hosted by the Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank.

Fifth grade students from around the Island competed in the annual solar car race Friday. Claus Smith and Lathrop Keene from the Chilmark School took first place.
