Oak Bluffs voters overwhelmingly approved additional money to build a new town hall at a well-attended special town meeting Tuesday evening.

Under cold, clear skies Sunday morning, a large contingent of Island veterans gathered for a parade and ceremony to honor those who served.

The Rev. Stephen Harding, pastor at Grace Episcopal Church, arrived on the Vineyard with his family in early November and found a congregation waiting with open arms.

Det. James T. Morse was terminated last Friday for what police called a misuse of the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services system.

Oak Bluffs voters will gather for a special town meeting tonight to vote on two major spending issues. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Oak Bluffs School.
