It is difficult to maintain a cheerful nature in hot and humid weather. I suppose it’s great for beachgoers.
I take full responsibility for the errors in last week’s column. As most of you know, I hand-write on Tuesdays and my editor is kind to swing by my house, collect it, and enter it into the computer.
I had a water crisis last week. The well at my big garden failed for over a week.
Last year there were very few hydrangea flowers. They had budded and were hit with a late freeze.
I have been very happy in the cool damp days at the beginning of the week. It has been perfect planting weather.
I’m not a big fan of hot and humid weather especially when it comes so quickly after cold and rainy.
