No new coronavirus cases were reported on Martha’s Vineyard Sunday, while statewide cases continued to rise and a new field hospital on Cape Cod was announced by Gov. Charlie Baker.
Ferries were shutting down, Beach Road was partially closed and fishermen were securing their boats as a northeaster lashed the Vineyard with rain and wind Friday.
No new cases of Covid-19 were reported on Martha’s Vineyard Wednesday, but with nine confirmed cases and counting, a flurry of preparations continued around the Island.
The widely respected Boston trial attorney whose work on Martha’s Vineyard spanned more than four decades, died March 4 at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Early voting begins today on Martha’s Vineyard in the run-up to the much-watched Super Tuesday presidential primary day next week. Polling will be held in every Island town running through Friday.
