West Tisbury selectmen gave approval Wednesday for a weekend summer series of events that will include an art installation and reflective hot air balloon at Long Point.

After months of back and forth, Tisbury selectmen have signed a contract to allow a three-day music festival to take place in Veterans Memorial Park this August. The festival is the first of its kind in the town.

A splashy art installation planned for July by the Trustees of Reservations is seeing pushback from neighbors and town officials.
