Fisherman and chef Abe Pieciak turned to art last year by creating a series of watercolors he calls Lure Fish. This year he is donating a print for every single day of the Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby.

Most daytrippers come to the Island for sun and fun, but on Sunday Karen Long came for the art. Ms. Long traveled from Concord to attend the annual Chicken Alley Art and Collectable Sale.

This week, some 87 local artists showcased their work along the walls surrounding the Tabernacle. The annual show features work in a variety of media created by artists ages 16 to 99.

For three hours on Saturday Connect to End Violence staff, volunteers and Island men participated in the annual seawall demonstration, which aims to raise awareness about violence against women.
