The broad redesign of the area, with a roundabout and larger pedestrian walkways, is aimed at revamping the congested parking area. The project should be completed by Memorial Day, Oak Bluffs officials said.

Vineyarders were taken back in time on Thursday, to the late 1800s and the end of Edgartown’s whaling industry, when town leaders were trying to come up with ideas to revive the moribund Edgartown waterfront.

The four-chair clinic, currently under construction, will be located at Mariners Landing in Edgartown, and is part of a larger expansion of the health care facility.

Joe and Emily Monteiro, the team behind 19 Prime and 19 Raw, are taking over the Copper Anchor’s lease this April, looking to open a new restaurant, 9, later this spring.

The public is invited and will have a chance to listen to candidates present their positions and ask questions. 

John Stanwood performs regularly at the Portuguese American Club, in particular as one half of the music duo Rosie (Guerin) and John. Recently, he took on a new role: he helped design a stage for the club.
