Alison Shaw: Orange

The opening reception for the 2008 season at the Alison Shaw Gallery is set for Saturday, May 24 from 4 to 7 p.m.

This year the gallery is showing work from Ms. Shaw’s many series of fine art photographs, unified by the theme of color. Gallery hours (after Saturday) will be Wednesday through Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. The gallery is at 88 Dukes County avenue, Oak Bluffs. More information is available by calling 508-696-7429.

Estate Planning Talk

An educational presentation on estate planning will be presented by attorney Margot Parrot at 5 p.m. Monday, May 19, at the Tisbury Senior Center, 34 Pine Tree Road, Vineyard Haven. Exhibit of Pastels, Tapestries

Marjorie Berlow of Vineyard Haven is presenting an exhibition of pastels and tapestries through Thursday, May 22 at the Chilmark Public Library.

A Wisconsin native, Ms. Berlow moved to the Vineyard five years ago to join family. She studied art and art history at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Milwaukee.
