Watch a Concert, Join the Concert

They’ve played for the Queen and now they’re playing for you.

This Saturday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. the London Gold Group will be performing at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown. This group of violinists and viola players is comprised of London’s finest musicians, aged 9 to 15 years old that is. But don’t let thoughts of callow youths dissuade you. These kids have been rosining up their bows since they were four years old.

Around the World in Three Hours

Ethnic studies week is approaching but no worries; there won’t be a test in the traditional sense. Instead, the test will be how much good food and fun you can enjoy during one evening.

The event is a benefit for Adult and Community Education of MV (ACE MV). It takes place at the Performing Arts Center of the high school on Friday, Oct. 15. It runs from 6 to 9 p.m. That’s just three hours to pack in a smorgasbord of talent.
