A Look Back at the Year That Was: 2025

The Island was buffeted by winds from the south in 2025, fueled not by high and low pressure airflows matching wits along the jet stream, but launched from Washington by a new President set on making his mark near and far.

It was a year punctuated by visits from a president and right whales, the arrival of a roundabout and a reality television crew. Pieces of the past were restored and given new life while other parts of the Island changed irrevocably.
