West Tisbury voters approved a $300,000 general override 62-32 in a quiet special town election Thursday. Total turnout was 94 voters, 3.5 per cent of those registered.

Kent Healy was reelected selectman in West Tisbury on Thursday, easily defeating first-time challenger Michael Bellissimo.

Voters turned out steadily for the town election Thursday, casting ballots in a tightly-contested race for selectman.

West Tisbury voters go to the polls today to decide a contest for selectman. Polls are open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the town public safety building.
