The Vineyard Gazette celebrated the 50th birthday of its Goss Community Press on Tuesday by welcoming community members to the newspaper’s office to learn about the history of the press and see the workhorse in action.
To honor the hardworking Goss Community Press's 50th birthday, the Gazette is hosting a special Tuesdays in the Newsroom event on Sept. 9, where the community is invited to learn about the history of the press and watch it in action.
It was a cold Thursday evening in February. The pressroom crew was assembled for the weekly run, to print the Gazette on our 50-year-old Goss Community web press.

The Vineyard Gazette earned 23 awards at the New England Better Newspaper Competition held in Waltham over the weekend, including eight first place finishes for its website, photography, columns and illustration.
The Vineyard Gazette Media Group will host a reception and open house on Friday, April 12, from 4 to 6 p.m. to honor retiring publisher Jane Seagrave and welcome new publisher Monica Brady-Myerov.
