A recently-formed group called Connecting the Dots aims to help newcomers to the Vineyard get acclimated and become part of the community.

A pilot program begun 14 months ago by Martha’s Vineyard Community Services and the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital to combat substance use disorder has helped steer 111 Vineyard residents onto the road to recovery.

Heather Quinn recently joined the fold at Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, after directing the Chilmark Preschool.

The 39th annual auction brought in more than $450,000 for Martha’s Vineyard Community Services.

The annual Art Buchwald Possible Dreams Auction, now in its 39th year, is Sunday at Winnetu. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

The Possible Dreams auction, the largest single fundraiser for Community Services, is Sunday, July 30 at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort.
