Juneteenth at the Narragansett House Is a Powerful Combination

Over 45 people gathered at the Narragansett House in Oak Bluffs Saturday to celebrate Juneteenth, and its new status as a federal holiday.

Martha's Vineyard celebrated Juneteenth this weekend with events all around the Island. Juneteenth was made a federal holiday in 2021 to commemorate the day slaves in Texas learned of the Emancipation Proclamation.
