Chilmark firefighters quickly quelled a small fire at Blue Heron Farm early Tuesday morning. Chilmark fire chief David Norton said the call came in at 3:30 a.m. from an automatic fire alarm in the farmhouse. The fire was in the wall of the main house near a porch that had a gas grill on it. Firefighters had the fire out within a matter of minutes, Mr. Norton said. “Very small, very contained, extinguished quickly,” the fire chief said. He said the cause of the fire was the gas grill.

It is no discourtesy to the current owners to say that Blue Heron Farm is the product of Tony Fisher’s imagination.
It is also true that Mr. Fisher drew major inspiration from at least two sources: the home of West Tisbury builder Rick Anderson and a Kevin Costner movie.
Blue Heron Farm, the sprawling gentleman's farm overlooking Tiah's Cove in Chilmark and West Tisbury that was the former residence of the late M. Anthony (Tony) Fisher and his wife Anne, was sold last week to a Mississippi couple for $20.35 million.
The buyers are William and Mollie Van Devender of Jackson, Miss.
