The Eisenhauer Gallery is hosting its final exhibition of the season with a reception on Saturday, Sept. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Featured artists are Tjasa Owen, Jeff Shaller, Olga Antonova and Elizabeth Washburn. Each artist brings a unique vision to their work ranging from Ms. Owens paintings inspired by her global travels, to Ms. Antonova’s work in portraiture as applied to her still life paintings.

The exhibit continues through Sept. 10.

The Martha’s Vineyard Art Association (MVAA) is currently presenting oil paintings by Nancy Blair, photography by Emily Drazen, paintings by Ovid Ward, and a retrospective of artwork by the late Renee O’Sullivan. The exhibit runs through September 2 at the Old Sculpin Gallery located at Dock Street in Edgartown, next to the Chappy ferry.

Due to hurricane Irene, the reception for these artists was postponed to Thursday, September 1, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Vineyard in November

Brooklyn based photographer Anthony Austin is currently enjoying an exhibit at Made Here located at 55 Circuit avenue in Oak Bluffs. Mr. Austin has spent part of each summer on the Vineyard since birth (42 years and counting). In 2010 he began visiting the Island in the off-season, arriving every month and spending three days photographing the Island as it progressed through the fall, winter and spring. His current show called Offing captures the look and spirit of the Island in November.

Vineyard Haven is hosting an art stroll tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. Galleries and businesses along and around Main street are keeping the lights on later, plus providing refreshments.

Rick Bausman and his Steel Breeze group, think relaxing beats from a host of steel drums, and Ballyhoo are providing the musical backdrop for the evening.
