With the Aquinnah Shop the only restaurant open at the cliffs this fall and at least two shops shuttered this summer, town leaders and shop owners are discussing the next steps. Lots at the Circle are traditionally leased only to tribal members.
With the Gay Head Light relocation project under way and temporary parking rules in place at Aquinnah Circle, shop owners at the cliffs are hoping to weather the changes and eventually to benefit from the publicity surrounding the move.
