Tonight the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks return to the ‘Shark Tank’ at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School for their season opener against North Shore. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the first pitch is thrown at 7 p.m. Little League players who show up in uniform are admitted free.

The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School boys’ baseball team qualified for the state tournament on Friday by earning a 2-1 victory against Triton in Newbury. “We had an interesting time getting there,” said head coach Gary Simmons. “We showed up for the boat in Vineyard Haven only to find out it hadn’t yet left Woods Hole.”
There will be a car wash fundraiser for the Martha’s Vineyard Little League on Saturday, May 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School sailing team is ranked fifth in New England and the top public high school in the region.
