Joanna Fairchild has joined the staff at Ocean Park Realty. Ms. Fairchild has been a year-round resident of Martha’s Vineyard since 1995. She owned a business in Oak Bluffs called High Rollers in 1979. In 2004 she served as the head concierge at the Harbor View Hotel and founded Vineyard Coach & Concierge, a transportation and event planning company.
Vineyard Open House real estate celebrated a grand opening on Sept. 25 and Oct. 2. The new real estate firm is owned by David Lott and is located in Vineyard Haven on Union street, across from Murdick’s Fudge.

The 17th century farmhouse owned by Tara Whiting and her brother Daniel Whiting sold to Eric Burns and Bonnie Lafave of New York city for $600,000. The deal was completed on Friday, Justin Manning of JJ Manning Auctioneers confirmed.
The house was scheduled to go to public auction on Sept. 28, but Mr. Burns and Ms. Lafave’s pre-bid offer was accepted beforehand.
Reached by telephone on Monday, Mr. Whiting called the sale bittersweet.
