As the saying goes, all roads lead to the Ag Fair in August. Islanders, summer people, and tourists alike throng to the exhibition hall and barns to view the best of the best – the ripest tomatoes, the sweetest corn, and hundreds of other entries. Crowds cheer for their favorites in the skillet toss, shucking oysters, and cornhusking contests. And diets are forgotten with the fair food along the midway.
