One day after the official start of summer, the Martha's Vineyard Little League spring season came to a close, with two well-played championship games taking place at Veira Park in Oak Bluffs on Saturday. In the Minor League game, the Rays took an eleventh-hour 11-10 win over the Twins. Backed by strong pitching throughout the game, the Red Sox defeated the Tigers 8-2 in the Major League contest.
