Island Light: Summer's End
Suddenly it's time to say goodbye to summer friends and house guests, time to send college students packing, to ease the jitters of high school freshmen, to buy new sneakers and lunch boxes for the little ones, to notice that dinner on the porch now requires candles to see the salad, and to think — but only just think — about fall things like fishing and football and fires in the fireplace.
