So far this year, the weather's never quite hit its stride. Heaviness and fog. Humidity and mist. Cool drizzly mornings yielding to a sultry sun. We have been the sideline spectators to anomalies of weather that have made this in no way a typical summer.
By the weekend, however, people were at the beach, where they belonged. The sun woke early and bold, eagerly wiping the dew off the grass with no fog or drizzle to make the task difficult. We may at last have the summer we know so well. There's plenty of time.
