Fall back, so the saying goes, here at the end of daylight saving time, when the clocks wind back in time, bringing an extra hour of sunlight in the early morning and one less in the evening.
But what else might we fall back on, here at the opening of November? Perhaps consider it a seasonal trust fall — fall back and know that a pile of leaves will cushion your fall. Fall back and know that the bright blue sky and dappled sunlight will buoy your spirits.
Fall back and watch the hustle and bustle pass you by. Fall back and savor each footstep, each intake of breath, each dog bark echoing in the distance, each bird soaring overhead.
Fall back and don’t try to catch up because you are actually in the lead.
