Putting aside the angry disruptions of the odd northeaster or two, this spring so far has been a soft and enticing prelude to summer, a gentle and sometimes teasing reminder of the soothing season of sun and zephyrs. Early flowers and hints of greenery make us hope for an overnight transformation to full-leafed summer. The longer days induce longer and later walks, more leisurely strolls with less chill to hurry against.
