It was one of those beautiful days on the water. A trip aboard the ferry Island Home from Woods Hole to Vineyard Haven easily became a platform for seeing what is going on on the water. Sailboats speed across the water, pushed by a steady breeze. A Coast Guard buoy tender does maintenance work on navigational aids. The topsail schooner Shenandoah heads out towards Nantucket Sound for a day of sailing.
